Procedure:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle:
    • Remove the vehicle side fairing to access the dosing unit.
  2. Remove the DEF Dosing Unit:
    • Remove the three bolts securing the DEF dosing unit to the mounting plate. Discard these bolts.
    • Do not disconnect the DEF lines or the electrical connector.
  3. Set Up Measurement:
    • Place the dosing unit on top of the graduated cylinder with the nozzle facing downward into the cylinder.
  4. Initiate the Test:
    • Turn the ignition ON (key ON, engine OFF).
    • Connect to DiagnosticLink®.
    • From the “Actions” drop-down menu, select “Aftertreatment,” then “DEF Quantity Test.”
    • Click the “Start” button to begin the “DEF Quantity Test.”
  5. Conduct the Test:
    • The test will run for four minutes.
    • Once the test is complete, verify the amount of DEF dispensed.

Expected Outcome:

  • A properly operating system should deliver between 108 and 132 mL of DEF during the test.

  • Ensure to install new doser bolts and gasket after completing the test.
